We’ve said it before. And we’re saying it again. Being a Google Trusted Street View Photographer in Sydney is a great job. And clients like The Grifter Brewing Co. make it even better.
Not only do they make a great range of beers (we haven’t tried all of them yet, but the pilsner is very drinkable), but they also run a tasting bar out of their brewery in Marrickville. And we love it. Long tables that can accommodate big parties, high warehouse ceilings, pool table, and (best of all) dogs are welcome.
Did we mention the beer? We really should mention the beer. Glenn, Trent & Matt have put a lot of work into their brews, and one visit isn’t enough to try them all, so it’s good that the venue is a place you’ll want to go bact to. Thanks to the easy-going and enthusiastic staff, there’s a really relaxed vibe here – you can be the guy on the laptop at the bar, or you can grab your mates and have a beer and a game of pool at the end of the day. No dress code. No judgment. Your call.
Perhaps its not surprising, then, that the customers here weren’t just willing to be in the photos – some of them were really enthusiastic. Even to the point of creating a human pyramid when they found out that this tour was going to be on Google Street View for everyone to see. If you look hard enough, you’ll also find bar staff appearing in somewhat unexpected places.
“YOU THERE MEDIA HAVE BEEN AN EXCELLENT COMPANY TO DEAL WITH FOR OUR VIRTUAL TOUR OF OUR BREWERY/TASTING BAR. THE PHOTOS ARE TOP QUALITY…COULDN’T HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER SERVICE!”
We’d also point out that we took care to ensure that everyone was comfortable with what was going on – Street View virtual tours of empty venues are much easier to create but they can be cold and unwelcoming – so we like to include customers where possible. And that sometimes means that we need to be respectful of people’s need for privacy, so we’ll blur out the faces of people who request it.
We’d just like to say thanks to the customers, crew, and management at The Grifter Brewing Co. They made us feel welcome, and were really accommodating while we shot the Google Street View tour. And Glenn had some kind words to say about us, too.
Yep. We really love what we do.
